What Are Peace, Joy and Freedom and

What Do They Mean to You?

Some describe Peace, Joy and Freedom as being "Optimal States of Being". Others explain them as being "Soul Qualities", those parts of our "Higher Self" that we aspire to align with so as to have a more meaningful and fulfilling experience while here on this earth-plane. To those familiar with Quantum Physics, they are Emotional Vibrations of the Highest order.
Like Happiness and Confidence, these qualities are:
All very much affected by the mental and emotional "clutter" we accumulate
over time which tends to dampen or bury these qualities.

When I speak of Peace I'm speaking about thinking peaceful, calm thoughts. How Peaceful is your mind? How much are you able to enjoy sleep at night? How stressed out do you get at work or at home with your families? How do you handle stress? Are you having any physical symptoms because of stress? Do you internalize your stress or does it get a bit our of control at home or at work? Does your mind race or do you worry a lot or have negative thoughts? Do you get more irrritated than usual lately or are you feeling overwhelmed?

If you are experiencing any of the behaviors just listed it would be very understandable. Life can get quite hectic especially with added pressures from work and the family and life in general. It's not always so easy to negotiate all of what life brings to us.

However, the more we are able to keep our minds peaceful, the more we can deal with the pressures of life more appropriately and have a happier/healthier life as a result.

Did you know that when your mind is more calm and thinks positive thoughts, your brain actually sends positive, healing chemicals to your body? And, when you're stressed and thinking negative thoughts, your brain is sending negative chemicals to your body.?

Changing your perception (your thinking) will change your reality.

If You Don't
Look Within,
You Go Without

Joy is defined as a "feeling of great pleasure or happiness; a source or cause of great happiness; to feel great delight", those far too fleeting moments when I feel chills or tingling going up and down my spine or legs, when I get goosebumps when something particularly nice happens.

It is those time when you are so in the moment of a happy event, totally immersed for that period of a few seconds or minutes that you are totally present with that moment of Joy, not thinking about the past or worrying about the future, just totally focused on those moments of sheer happiness. That's what Joy is to me. What is it to you?

Most remembered, perhaps, when we were kids, even though a lot of us didn't experience it too much then either because of the chaos that was present in our family of origins even during our very young lives.

To many of us we can be reminded of these optimal states of being by thinking back to our early childhoods, before we were scarred emotionally by rejection, fear, abandonment issues, etc.

Remember when we were very young, before we had our main adverse childhood experiences, when we could allow ourselves to feel pure, unadulterated joy and happiness over seemingly nothing?

Unfortunately, as we get older, we learn to squash this emotion because it either somehow threatens others or we get rejected, taught we're not good enough, we don't deserve, aren't worthy, emotionally and/or physically abandoned somehow, etc. to make us then further bury this very good feeling for our protection, so we will never feel that kind of hurt and pain again.

Unfortunately, it's meant to protect us at the time, but then it becomes a life sentence unless we find ways to intervene and unearth our Joy once again.

Now, something can be done about unearthing our Joy quickly, easily and much more effectively than Talk Therapy. Over the years, I have found some very effective therapeutic methods that help to RELEASE what is blocking our Joy so we can once again feel these beautiful feelings more regularly with Brainspotting being the most thorough and effective all those methods that I learned.

Perhaps the most common type of Freedom we speak of, in this country at least, is Financial Freedom. Whereas in other countries, such as Bhutan, the emphasis is placed more on Happiness. As a matter of fact, they are one of the few countries in the world that acually have a Happiness Index.

In this country as well as others, we have the Freedom to pursue our dreams, Personal Freedom for life and liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

The Freedom to be who we want to be in our job/careers.

The Freedom to have our own religious beliefs.

The Freedom to pretty much do what we want as long as it does impede on someone else's liberties.

This is all offered to all of us who are lucky enough to live in countries that allow all of this.

However, even though Freedom of all kinds are offered across the board to anybody that wants to take advantage of these Freedoms, FREEDOM STARTS IN THE MIND.

If you don't have Freedom in your mind, unencumbered and unshackled by Negative Thoughts and Beliefs, you will not be able to take full advantage of the Freedoms that are offered you.

Our Pursuit of Happiness will be diminished in all ways if we have self-limiting beliefs.

The following is a list of Your Assertive Rights. If you incorporate the items on this list into your life, you will be on your way to be in your Power.
